It only takes 5 minutes to mix the ingredients together in a mug and then one minute for the microwave to do its thing. And then you’ve got yourself a Crumb Cake that’s high in protein with ZERO sugar! 

This is the perfect dessert to enjoy when you are working on your fitness, watching your sugar intake, and getting lots of protein to support your muscles and keep your metabolism going strong. Because let’s face it, even fit and healthy people deserve some warm cake every now and again!

For the Cake

  • 1 scoop or packet Trulean Frosted Vanilla Cake Grass Fed Whey Protein
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 Tablespoon coconut flour
  • 1 Tablespoon granulated Swerve
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 egg

For the Crumb Topping

  • 1 Tablespoon rolled oats
  • 1 ½ teaspoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 ½ Tablespoon brown swerve
  • 1 ½ pinch sea salt

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the inside of a large, microwave-safe mug with coconut oil. Add all of the mug cake ingredients and mix well.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the crumb topping and mix until combined and clumpy. Sprinkle over the top of the batter in the mug.
  3. Microwave for 1 minute. You could either eat the cake straight from the mug or turn it over onto a plate. Enjoy within a few minutes for best consistency and flavor!
