Chocolate Nut Protein Bomb

Boy, do I have a sweet tooth! Here's my new fitness candy obsession...

This sweet tooth tempts me to commit regrettable decisions on what I eat. A scoop of ice cream here, a piece of candy there, these sugary slip-ups can really add up into unwanted pounds and disappointing fitness results.

As much as I LOVE eating something sweet after dinner or in the afternoon, I also don’t want all of the fattening and harmful ingredients that are found in traditional sweets. Eating a piece of sugary candy is a surefire way to feel tired and cranky.

That’s why I’m so excited about this new recipe for fitness candy that has a very special, metabolism-boosting ingredient... PROTEIN POWDER!

My recipe below contains just a handful of simple ingredients and a few scoops of metabolism-boosting, muscle-supporting Trulean Frosted Vanilla Cake Grass Fed Whey Protein!

And, yes, it tastes delightful - every bit as satisfying as the regrettable sugary treat you were going to eat - just with ZERO guilt!

I hope you’ll give this simple, delicious fitness dessert recipe a try rather than eating something packed full of sugar so keep you on track with your fitness results.

  • Prep Time: 20 mins
  • Cook Time: 10 mins
  • Total Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

Instructions

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsalted nuts (my favorite is pecan, but any nut works!)
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 scoops Trulean Frosted Vanilla Cake Grass Fed Whey Protein
  • ½ cup shredded coconut
  • 1 Tablespoon flax meal
  • 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 bag Lily's Stevia-Sweetened Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1 teaspoon flake sea salt - optional

Instructions

  1. Place the nuts in a food processor. Pulse until crumbly.
  2. Add the salt, 3 scoops of Trulean Frosted Vanilla Cake Grass Fed Whey Protein, coconut and flax meal. Blend for 1-2 minutes, until the nut mixture reaches the consistency of play dough.
  3. Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a double boiler over low heat. Stir until smooth.
  4. Shape the dough into 8 large disks or balls. Place in a tart liner or muffin liner and top with enough melted chocolate to fully cover the dough. Top with flaked sea salt. Place the bombs in the fridge for 10 minutes until solid. Store leftovers in the freezer. Enjoy!
