How Do The Trulean Wellness Shots Work?

In recent years, we have all become increasingly aware of the importance of supporting our immune system through activities like exercising or taking Wellness Shots.

After all, our immune system is our bodies' way of fighting off infections and helps keep us healthy. This is why maintaining a healthy immune system can no longer be an afterthought for you, it's an absolute must.

To obtain your best health, your body is constantly striving for homeostasis, or balance.

In todays post we'll go over the different ways you can improve your immune systems balance and you'll also discover everything you need to know about Trulean's Everyday Wellness Shots.

What Is The Immune System?

Your immune system is a collaboration of your body's biological systems and they work together to restore homeostasis, or a natural balance which helps fight off illness.

Your immune system protects you from harmful pathogens, infectious bacteria, viruses, parasites, mold, yeast and is made up of two categories.

The first is called Innate (or humoral) immunity This part of your immune system consists of mechanical, chemical, and biological barriers and it serves as the first line of defense against pathogens.

The second part of your immune system is called Adaptive (or cell-mediated) immunity. This system is mainly made up of your body's white blood cells.

Specifically, this is the part of your immune system that can be exposed to harmful viruses and then learn from that exposure to get stronger.

How To Build a Stronger Immune System?

To improve your immune system is important to make sure you're eating a truly nutritious diet, exercising regularly and moving your body. Additionally, being aware of and managing your stress levels plays a vital role in boosting your immunity.

Nutrition and Micronutrient Supplementation

Up first, let's cover how your diet is crucial for your health and immunity.

You want to start by choosing foods that are naturally sourced from nature and that have a colorful variety of organic vegetables and grass fed meats.

Next you'll want to focus adding in healthy fats in moderation. These are foods like avocado and nuts and that have low glycemic carbohydrates (such as sweet potatoes or brown rice).

From there, supplementing what you're already eating with important nutrients like high quality multi vitamins, fish oils and greens supplements is key.

Vitamins That Boost Your Immunity

Vitamin C- is an essential vitamin that you must get from your diet -- and plays a critical role in overall health and proper immune function -- packed full of antioxidants Vitamin C protects your body from the inside out from free radicals -- which are harmful buildup due to oxidative stress... The more build up, the higher chance of illness and infection.

Vitamin D- Responsible for strong bones and a healthy immune system many people are deficient in this vitamin! Which leaves their immune system vulnerable to infection. This fat-soluble vitamin plays a number of critical roles in your body and especially important for immune system health -- some research shows that having healthy levels of vitamin D, as well as taking a vitamin D supplement, can help keep your immune system healthy and may protect against respiratory illnesses.

B12- B12 plays an important role in white blood cell production -- and white blood cells are absolutely essential for proper immune system function.

Zinc- Zinc is needed for immune cell development and communication with healthy cells. Zinc plays an important role in inflammatory response and significantly shortening the lifespan of cold or flu symptoms.

Turmeric- A highly potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and powerful brain boosting ancient root.

Echinacea- A healing herb, echinacea is a powerful antioxidant commonly used to speed recovery, fight infection and improve overall immune function.

Astragalus- Is one of 50 fundamental herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine that has been used for centuries to promote overall health. This flowering herb has been linked to several health benefits, including immune-boosting, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory effects.

Ginger- Is a root a root vegetable that stimulates proper digestion and improved digestive health -- ginger is also linked to improved immune function and optimized overall health.

Cayenne Pepper- Cayenne Pepper has a powerful ingredient called capsaicin which has metabolism-boosting properties, aids in digestive health, has pain relieving properties and most uniquely helps clear air passageways acting as a natural decongestant!

Exercise And Boosting Your Immunity

Research has long been conflicted on the effectiveness of exercise on boosting the immune system due stress potentially decreasing immune function.

It’s important to listen to your body.  Don’t expose others if you are sick, but do a short at-home workout, take a walk or a jog outside.  (Bonus points for extra vitamin D!)

Maintain the intensity of your workouts you were doing before, don’t try to introduce a new or more intense training routine.

Two-a day workouts or long, endurance training may need to be cut down to encourage proper recovery.  Pay attention to your appetite and energy levels.

If you are able to eat your normal diet and maintain adequate levels of energy, you can train and still support your immune system.

How Being Outside Benefits Your Health

When we're outside and our skin is exposed to sunlight without sunscreen, our bodies are able to produce adequate vitamin D.

The large majority of us now spend our time indoors at work with little to no exposure to direct sunlight.

Research shows that Vitamin D is necessary for activating and transporting T cells to the area of the body where infection is present, thus ensuring the immune system is able to identify and fight off pathogens.

The best form of vitamin D is from exposure to sunlight, but the large majority of Americans will need to supplement with additional vitamin D as well.

Sleep And Your Health

It is estimated that more than ⅓ of Americans have trouble sleeping every night all the while prescriptions for sleep medications have risen 54% from 2004 to over $5 billion in sales in 2010. ⁣

It’s clear that Americans have trouble sleeping.

Sleep is absolutely essential for basic maintenance and repair of neurological, endocrine, immune, musculoskeletal and digestive systems. ⁣

Getting the adequate amount of sleep:

  • Increases stress tolerance
  • Improves immune function
  • Enhances memory and mental clarity
  • Boosts mood
  • Increases overall energy
  • Improves athletic performance

How can you optimize your sleep?

  1. Set a no screen time an hour before bed.  Blue light emitted from TVs, computers and phones send a message to your brain that it is “day time” and makes it difficult to sleep.
  2. Eat adequate protein.  Making sure you have a stable blood sugar throughout the night ensures you don’t wake up from a blood sugar drop.
  3. Have a bedtime routine.  Having a routine where you go through the same motions before bed such as washing your face and brushing your teeth, help your brain slow down and relax.

The Impact Of Stress On Your Body

Stress is stress.  Your body is only acting based on the chemical (hormonal) response to stress.  ANY stressor whether physical (injury, overtraining), mental (long periods of work), emotional (trauma, break-ups), psychological or perceived can spike cortisol levels.

But not all stress is bad stress.

However, stress can be destructive if not managed well.  Chronic, unmanaged stress will weaken your immune system.

Be sure to take time for self-care, things that don’t include exercise or work, to help destress.

Cognitive therapy, regular massages and epsom salt baths are a great place to start!

Immune System Disease States

Immune system disease states either stem from an excessive immune response or an autoimmune attack.

Immune Deficiency Diseases: An immune deficiency disease is when the immune system is missing one or more important parts, and it reacts too slowly to a threat.

(Ex: nutrient deficiency that leads to a decreased immune response)

Allergies and Asthma: Allergies are an immune system-mediated inflammatory response to normally harmless environmental substances known as allergens.  This can be caused by foods, pollen, or can manifest as a rash or trouble breathing.

Autoimmune Diseases: Autoimmune diseases cause your immune system to attack your own body’s cells and tissues in response to an unknown trigger.  This can manifest as conditions such as type 1 diabetes and IBS.

The Power of Turmeric

Turmeric has many scientifically backed health benefits ranging from decreasing inflammation, high blood pressure and diabetes.

Turmeric is a root packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that has been used for over 4,000 years in Asia to heal many health conditions including: heart disease, chronic pain, cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, IBS and more.

In addition to its anti-inflammatory action, Turmeric is also anti-microbial, antibacterial and antifungal.

Ayurvedic Medicine uses Turmeric to heal wounds, release mucus, repel insects, ease inflammation, and address metabolic disorders.

Spice of Life

Herbs and spices have been used for centuries to help flavor food but did you know that many spices have health benefits as well?

Herbs and spices were celebrated for their medicinal use long before they were used for culinary purposes.

Scientific research now backs many ancient beliefs that many of these spies have powerful health benefits.

Cinnamon can help lower blood sugar, sage can improve brain function and memory, peppermint can help with IBS, holy basil can fight off infection and cayenne pepper can kill parasites and reduce appetite.

Ginger has a long history in traditional and alternative medicine.  According to research, Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and is high in antioxidants which help fight off oxidative stress.

Ginger is also highly effective for treating nausea, even chemotherapy related nausea which is often hard to soothe and can be used by pregnant women to help with morning sickness.

Ginger can even help fight off infections, in one study done in 2008 it was found to be effective in killing off the bacteria that gingivitis and periodontitis.

Fresh Ginger may also be effective against upper respiratory viruses like RSV.

If you have never considered the powerful, medicinal benefits of herbs and spices, well 2020 is the perfect year to start.

Hippocrates said it best “Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food”, everything you put in your body from a donut to the spices you add to your curry have a chemical effect inside your body, for better or for worse.

Ingredients Matter

Imagine you spent the last 10 years of your life working hard to save up for your dream car, a red Lamborghini.  At the dealership they specifically tell you to only put premium gasoline in the engine to help it perform best and preserve the engine.

Would you go to the gas station and put regular unleaded gas in it?

Of course not! You invested a lot of time, money and hard work to purchase that car.

But how is your body any different?

You only get one and you have to treat it well and give it the fuel it needs to perform best and live a long life.

The same goes for choosing supplements.  You get what you pay for when it comes to quality.

The Trulean Wellness Shot is packed full of organic and thoughtfully sourced ingredients.  It is vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and naturally sweetened, so no sugar! PLUS no nasty additives or fillers that increase inflammation.

In comparison to other immune support sachets, Trulean exceeds the competition in quality, ingredients and effectiveness.

Avoid Inflammatory Foods and Beverages

Are you self-sabotaging your immune system?  Many people are unaware that some of their daily choices can help strengthen or weaken their immune system.

One of the most important factors that contribute to a stressed out immune system is chronic inflammation.

Inflammation can come from foods you eat, alcohol, cosmetic products, using plastic water bottles or environmental exposure.

The 3 biggest contributors to inflammation in the American diet are: vegetable oils, sugar and alcohol.

For the large majority of Americans they are consuming at least one of these daily, which weakens the immune system and increases the risk of developing diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, metabolic dysfunction, cancer and more.

As you become more aware of your daily choices that contribute to inflammation and a weakened immune system, don’t forget to check the labels of your supplements, protein powders and other products that you may assume are “healthy”.

When we created the Trulean Wellness Shot one of our main concerns was making sure that it did not contain sugar or any other additives that would counteract the immune boosting benefits.

If a product contains sugar or ingredients you can’t pronounce, it's likely not a good product to consume.
